Canon recently formalized the release of its new compact digital camera with an optical 25x superzoom to obtain a high magnification level on distant subjects. The PowerShot G3 X is the first such brand to offer a 1.0 type back-illuminated CMOS sensor.
The new digital camera Canon PowerShot G3 X wants to be a versatile compact model aimed at a wide audience. For this, it has advanced technologies while offering easy adjustments and quickly familiar to the user.
The Canon PowerShot G3 X features a 1.0 type back-illuminated CMOS sensor of 20.2 MP. The integrated lens allows openings f/2.8 to 5.6 and the 25x optical zoom can be very useful in certain circumstances. Inside, one can count on the presence of DIGIC 6 image processor, a High Sensitivity System for low light conditions and the possibility to initiate a burst mode of 5.9 frames per second.
The camera is able to shoot with a Full HD resolution at 60 frames per second. There is a microphone, a headphone jack and an HDMI socket for viewing the recorded scenes. A feature called Short Movie Clip allows for sequences of 4, 5 or 6 seconds easily shareable. The PowerShot G3 X has Wi-Fi and can be controlled remotely via a smartphone or tablet via an application. In addition, it enjoys a 8 cm touchscreen or 3.2 inches with 1.62 million points. Its interface is identical to that of a SLR camera of the brand.
The digital camera Canon PowerShot G3 X will be available for €900.
