For the first time in 25 years, Microsoft has changed its logo. Typography have been used the Segoe font, also used in their products and in their marketing communications.
The symbol, table consists of colored squares, trying to “express the wide range of products of the company” as explained in a press release.
The leader in software and replaces its well-known logo with italic type, and does so in order to unify their brand ahead of a series of new product launches this 2012.
Microsoft will release its new operating system Windows 8 this October 26 and hopes the logo unifies the customer experience with the company, as is the case with the distinctive logo of rival Apple Inc and its consumers.
The new design, which resembles the current logo used for Windows, its main product is already being used on the Microsoft website.
