The Samsung NX1000 is a good example how to fight on all fronts. If the phones are faster photo sharing, we add free WiFi at the camera. If the mobile is increasingly better sensors, we put a new 20.3 megapixel, better quality than some DSLR. What compacts usually have a fixed lens with little chance? Therefore we created a small camera with interchangeable lenses. Important thing is to vindicate the photograph and make life easier by amateur.
The WiFi connection is the backbone on which the camera rotates. Uses range from the obvious to the more advanced. The obvious: get home and empty the card in the computer without cables. Or at home, connect the camera directly to the Internet and share photos on social networks or e-mail. The advanced go even beyond. With a smartphone with Android, we could link camera and phone anywhere. In this way, we could use the phone as a “peripheral” to the camera. Use the mobile screen as a remote monitor in a video recording. Or as trigger. Or use the phone’s 3G connection to share photos anywhere.
In Samsung NX1000, 20.3 Megapixel sensors provide a huge image, not in itself good. If we talk only in size, with this resolution we get photos up 5472 x 3648 pixels. To give an idea, with a size of image as this one we can get a print in high quality (300 dots per inch) of 46.3 x 30.9 centimeters.
But in addition to size, the sensor also promises a control image noise in high sensitivity and wide dynamic range. The image quality is not limited to photos. It also offers good possibilities in video recording, winning many possibilities with interchangeable lenses. The recording quality rises to the maximum that we see today in the cameras: 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD).
The camera sold in three colors: black, white and pink. Sold with a basic 20-50 mm lens, and is compatible with the other objectives of the NX range. The price of this pack is 600 euros.
